April 18, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet infrastructure provider PEER 1 Network Enterprises (peer1.com) announced on Wednesday it has installed the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager software (ibm.com/software/tivoli/solutions/storage) and is offering its managed dedicated hosting (dedicatedhosting.com) customers enterprise data backup services.
The company’s new Tivoli Data Backup solution is built on PEER 1′s SAN technology, and gives its customers storage management efficiencies by reducing file recovery time and disk consumption. “IBM is well-known for its high quality, enterprise-level products,” says Ted Smith, PEER 1′s VP of dedicated hosting. “We selected Tivoli Storage Manager for our Backup Solution because it is the best technology available for our customers, who value security, disaster recovery and peace-of-mind.”
PEER 1 says it delivers highly scalable hosting solutions to ensure a client’s online presence is fast performing and available 100 percent of the time. The company has data centers and network points of presence in 17 major cities across North America and Europe, all connected by PEER 1′s Internet network.
