Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

March 10, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Internet bandwidth, colocation and Web hosting provider Peer 1 Network (peer1.net) announced on Wednesday that it had opened a new 12,000 square-foot data center in Herndon, Virginia, its twelfth facility.

Peer 1 Network says the new data center will be the company's first facility to house both its traditional colocation and bandwidth customers in addition to the customer base of ServerBeach (serverbeach.com), its recently acquired dedicated Web hosting business. However, Peer 1 Network says the facility's immediate function will be to accommodate ServerBeach's growing clients.

"The existing ServerBeach facilities in San Antonio and Dulles are bursting at the seams," says Rick Hingson, Peer 1's VP of Operations. "When we acquired ServerBeach in October, we knew that finding new data center space would be one of our highest priority tasks, especially given ServerBeach's phenomenal record of growth."

Peer 1 Network says that over 3,000 ServerBeach dedicated servers will be housed in the new Virginia facility. Additional ServerBeach servers, Hingson says, will be housed in another Peer 1 Network facility before fiscal year end in June.

The Herndon facility will be staffed around-the-clock by both Peer 1 and ServerBeach technical and engineering staff.
