(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator and managed hosting provider Peak 10 (www.peak10.com) announced on Friday that its longtime business partner RS&H (www.rsandh.com), a facilities and infrastructure consulting firm, is further using its services and support.
The news follows Peak 10′s previous customer win in March, when it signed an agreement to house retail reporting services provider dunnhumbyUSA within its Cincinnati facility.
Peak 10 is providing RS&H with a customized solution that increases network and Internet reliability, ensures the availability of corporate applications, and helps recover quickly in the event of a disaster.
RS&H design offices are connected to Peak 10′s Atlanta and Jacksonville, Florida network, providing them with Internet access and high reliability and automatic failover in case of outages.
Peak 10 Atlanta serves as a business continuity and disaster recovery “hot site”, in which critical corporate applications such as project management, accounting, and finance systems are replicated and backed up on a daily basis.
Data and services can be restored in the hot site and accessed across the RS&H network in the event of a disaster affecting any of its design locations.
RS&H says it plans to use the hot site data to create archives and monthly backup tapes, which Peak 10 will manage for long term storage.
RS&H has been a longtime business partner of Peak 10′s, providing a range of architectural and engineering design services, as well as construction administration for facilities within seven of Peak 10′s nine markets.
There services include architectural design, interior design, structural design, mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and piping, civil and landscaping.
