March 1, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator and managed services provider Peak 10 (peak10.com) announced on Wednesday it recently hosted a Web cast where technologists shared cutting-edge methods of driving better efficiency and more value from the data center environment.
Titled Data Center 2007, the Web cast took place at Peak 10′s data center in Louisville, Kentucky and topics discussed included metro ethernet, power and cooling, data replication and virtualization.
“The stakes keep getting higher for IT staff and the applications they manage are becoming increasingly critical to the business and must be always available to customers, both internally and externally. Unscheduled downtime is unacceptable, maintenance windows are shrinking and all this has to be accomplished in budget,” says Monty Blight, Peak 10′s vice president and general manager of managed services. “There are exciting new tools and services to meet this challenge utilized by Peak 10 and our clients, and we’re happy to share these solutions not only with our customers but with the entire data center community.”
The Web cast, which was recorded on February 13, is currently available for download.
Peak 10 also recently announced it has added roofing and building products distributor Gulfeagle Supply to its diverse and growing customer portfolio.
