Parallels to Hold APAC Summit 2009

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting software provider Parallels (www.parallels.com) announced on Thursday it is expanding its cloud services networking event, Parallels APAC Summit 2009 (www.parallels.com/apac/summit/), into the Asian-Pacific region.

The event follows the success of Parallels Summit 2009, held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas earlier this year.

The conference and trade show drew an attendance of over 1,000 individuals throughout the industry.

Held September 25, 2009 in Singapore, Parallels APAC Summit 2009 will focus on cloud computing services in the Asia-Pacific region. The active market currently has around 1,000 customers and 200 strategic partners.

APAC Summit 2009 will follow the format of Parallels’ US Summit event, featuring in-depth business and product sessions with Parallels executives and industry leaders.

They will deliver presentations on the industry and upcoming market trends, Parallels’ upcoming initiatives, and strategies for building a company that grows revenue.

The one-day event will feature an exhibition hall and give attendees the opportunity to network with potential business partners, colleagues and the Parallels team to develop profitable customer and partner networks.

The event will be attended by a range of representatives of the APAC cloud computing market, including cloud services providers, ISVs, developers, hardware vendors and other industry players.

“The success of Parallels Summit 2009 in February demonstrated both the sizeable opportunity represented by cloud computing and Parallels’ position as a key strategic partner for players in this space,” says Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Parallels. “We are pleased to expand this success into the Asia-Pacific market, which represents a significant prospect for Parallels and its partners in the cloud services space, both globally and within the region itself. Our event aims to highlight the potential revenue streams for cloud services providers in the region, and we hope to help them partner to survive and thrive in what is already a very competitive landscape.”

Interested individuals can now register for the event on Parallels website.
