DH Capital managing director Paul Stapleton delivers his presentation, "How Cloud affects Deal Valuation and M&A volume".
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — In his presentation “How Cloud affects Deal Valuation and M&A volume”, DH Capital managing director Paul Stapleton talked about how cloud computing can influence the financing and investing nature of a company.
Starting off with a basic history of DH Capital, which has acted as a private investment banking partnership for media, telecommunications, and Internet companies for nearly a decade.
Stapleton also took a minute to highlight the recent addition of Dan Golding, formerly of Tier1 Research, to the DH Capital team as managing director.
The resounding message that Stapleton seemed to convey is that the finance and investing in the IT industry is a slow-moving and ongoing process.
He joked about how DH Capital’s business relationships with its clients can sometimes be like a marriage in that “it’s like just a conversation that never ends”.
Later, he explained that “there’s no such thing as the year of the cloud; IT adoption takes time.”
In closing, Stapleton emphasized the importance of companies knowing their customers, why they chose their company, and what their needs are, to successfully attain capital or sell their business.
