(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting, virtual private server, and shared hosting provider ZipServers (www.zipservers.com) has launched the latest version of Parallels Website Builder, a browser-based website editing application that lets small and medium-sized businesses create and publish professional websites for no additional cost to its “OnePlan” shared hosting customers.
Integrated into users’ Parallels (www.parallels.com) control panel, Parallels Website Builder 4.5 includes more than 500 templates and a simple, five-step wizard that can quickly create sites. Parallels Website Builder features new modules that let users easily create blogs, image galleries, guestbooks, online stores, forums, as well as offering such web 2.0 capabilities such as feedback, user registration, RSS, voting and area maps.

Parallels’ products were also the subject of an announcement Thursday from web host TurnKey Internet (www.turnkeyinternet.net), which has announced it will offer advanced web hosting automation and virtualization services via Parallels Virtuozzo Containers and Parallels Plesk Panel. TurnKey will be able to offer these products as Software-as-a-Service value add-ons to its dedicated server and virtual private server hosting product lines.
TurnKey president and chief executive officer Adam Wills said the company is excited to be able to offer the highly advanced software. “Especially in today’s economic climate, it is becoming more and more necessary to employ highly efficient hosting automation software that will help business owners maximize performance and lower costs,” Wills said in a statement. “Parallels is a leader in Web hosting automation and virtualization technologies, and this partnership will enable our customers to realize the benefits of these advanced software product lines.”
Parallels’ software fits into TurnKey’s commitment to offering turn-key solutions at competitive prices. The 10-domain Parallels Panel is offered as a completely free add-on to all TurnKey’s virtual and dedicated server products. Customers can also upgrade to higher domain capacities and add additional capabilities such as Tomcat/Coldfusion for a nominal fee.
