(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cloud technologies provider Parallels (www.parallels.com) announced on Thursday it has released Parallels Small Business Panel 10.1, which offers many feature enhancements including a new migration tool, an easy set-up wizard and file sharing capabilities.
Last month, the company introduced Parallels Small Business Panel, which lets Web hosts offer turnkey solutions to small businesses in an effort ot help them move over to the cloud.
KickAssVPS.com is one of many Web hosts that is now offering Parallels Small Business Panel 10.
The new version introduces a product demo mode and additional customer language pack tools that lets users add their own custom language packs.
The migration tool lets customers that are currently on Parallels Plesk Panel 9 to seamlessly migrate to the new Parallels Small Business Panel 10.1 without the risk of losing data.
It also lets shared hosting clients upgrade to a new VPS specifically designed for small business customers.
A new set-up wizard makes it even easier for customers to install and setup the entire system while the file sharing feature is now available on Windows versions, making both Linux and Windows functionality equivalent.
“Parallels Small Business Panel is specifically designed to be as easy to use as possible, supporting the needs of non-technical business users,” says Jack Zubarev, president of service provider division at Parallels. “This update builds on this, introducing very simple tools such as the set-up wizard and migration utility so that small businesses can adopt it very quickly and easily.”
The new demo mode lets resellers to safely embed the software on a website for a full demonstration.
In addition to the five languages that Parallels Small Business Panel 10.1 supports, a new Customer Language Pack can be used to include a language that is currently not on the software.
