Parallels Releases Plesk Billing 6.0

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Following virtualization and automation software provider Parallels’ (www.parallels.com) introduction of billing integration into its newly released control panel software, Parallels Plesk Panel 9, the company has launched version 6.0 of Parallels Plesk Billing.

According to Parallels, Parallels has now integrated Parallels Plesk Billing 6.0 into Parallels Plesk Panel this week, allowing it to offer hundreds of pre-packaged applications through the Application Packaging Standard Catalog, and a new reseller mode. The integration of Parallels Plesk Billing creates a unified, full-featured hosting automation solution that eliminates the need for third-party billing software.

Parallels Plesk Billing 6.0 lets service providers automate the billing of online services, letting companies take mass payments without each needing to be individually processed by employees, increasing efficiency and reducing operating costs.

Along with its full compatibility with Parallels Plesk Panel, Parallels Plesk Billing 6.0 can be completely integrated with other leading control panel solutions including cPanel and DirectAdmin, and a wide range of payment gateways, registrars and SSL certificate providers. Adding more opportunities to make profit, billing plans can offer upgrades, add-ons, flexible business cycles and unique order processes.

The system also comes with a configuration wizard that shortens systems setup from hours down to minutes. Parallels said that installation is completely automated from inside Parallels Plesk Panel, featuring an interface that shares a single sign-on with Parallels Plesk Panel 9.0.

Parallels Plesk billing also automates the entire invoicing and billing process with fraud detection tool integration. It also lets users manage all aspects of their relationship, including Parallels Plesk Panel 9.0′s new reseller level, provides a full-featured end-to-end hosting automation solution with only a few clicks.

“The increased functionality of Parallels Plesk Panel 9.0 creates a complete and easy end-user experience for individuals and businesses of all sizes,” Parallels chief executive officer Serguei Beloussov said in a statement. “The integration of the APS Catalog and Parallels Plesk Billing 6.0 enables service providers and resellers to build more profitable full-featured offerings to increase their revenue streams.”

About a month after being released to partners in beta, Parallels Plesk Panel 9 had its official release this week, which incorporated many long-awaited features making it easier to use and more complete for virtual, dedicated, and shared hosting providers, and small and medium-sized businesses.
