Cloud services provider Parallels (www.parallels.com) announced on Monday its newly launched version of its flagship control panel Parallels Plesk Panel 10.1 and Parallels Business Automation Standard 4.0, which are compatible with one another.
The latest version of Parallels Plesk Panel 10.1 introduces the hosting industry’s “first Web design staging area in a control panel.”
The announcement follows the November release of Parallels Plesk Panel 10.0, which enables service providers to more easily deliver profitable services to hosting customers.

Parallels Plesk Panel 10.1 lets VPS providers to offer VPS-optimized versions of Parallels Plesk Panel that are more efficient than its competitors.
It is also the only control panel that delivers a 200 percent lower resource footprint in virtualized environment, which lowers the operational costs for service providers without impacting the end user experience.
This latest release significantly increases the profit potential for service providers by enabling them to target web designers with a control panel as well as delivering the most profitable services to their hosting customers.
Parallels Plesk Panel 10.1 offers a range of new features including role based access, a built in sitebuilder tool, client self-service tools, shared hosting compatibility with Parallels Business Automation Standard, access to Parallels Storefront, easy migration from other control panels for end users, and new interface skins.
“Parallels Plesk Panel 10.1 reduces the complexity involved in running a hosting business while enabling the seamless access to commercial applications through Partner Storefront,” says Jack Zubarev, president of marketing and alliances at Parallels. “It also delivers some powerful enhancements to the user interface such as the new power-user mode.”
The Parallels Partner Storefront allows Web hosts to easily sell hundreds of commercial applications without integration or development costs.
Parallels Plesk Panel 10.1 is compatible with Parallels Business Automation Standard 4.0, which was also launched.
The new business automation platform incorporates new capabilities and support for Parallels Plesk Panel 10.1 that allows shared hosting and automated provisioning of Parallels Plesk Panel 10.1 licenses.
The pre-integrated billing and hosting automation solution is designed for hosting providers to “grow beyond their current systems or requiring a more advanced billing and automation solution,” says the company.
Parallels Business Automation Standard 4.0 has also added to its online store a range of new products, including SSL certificates, additional licensed business applications, and business class email via on-premise integration of Parallels Operations Automation with Microsoft Hosted Exchange Service Module.
