Parallels CEO to Keynote HostingCon

June 10, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Technology tradeshows and conference producer Interjuncture (interjuncture.com) announced on Tuesday that Sergeui Beloussov, chairman and CEO of web hosting software provider Parallels (parallels.com) will deliver the opening keynote address at the upcoming HostingCon 2008 (hostingcon.com/2008) tradeshow and conference. HostingCon 2008 will be held July 28 to 30, 2008 at the Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois.

The keynote address, entitled “The Optimized Hosting Platform – Meeting the Changing Needs of Hosting Providers,” will be held on July 28 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Beloussov will discuss the need to automate, virtualize, and standardize to deliver optimized computing for hosted services providers that can significantly help service providers to profit from and adapt to the ever changing hosting market.

“HostingCon 2008 will be a great place to learn how to optimize your hosted services business through automation, virtualization and standardization,” says George A. Roberts IV, executive director of HostingCon 2008. “It will also be a great time to meet with your peers and find out how they’re implementing these technologies in their business.” In the meantime, Parallels has been actively adding to its growing customer base. On Monday, Parallels announced it partnered with European web hosting provider STRATO to power the STRATO Oracle Server XE database offering.

In addition to Beloussov’s keynote address, the conference program will include many sessions that discuss cloud computing and its influence on hosted services providers. Attendees will learn how they can help their customers feel comfortable with cloud collaborate and how to employ virtualization in their infrastructure. 

On July 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Mark Rogers, director of cloud services at Microsoft, will deliver the second keynote address entitled “Cloud Computing: The Evolution of the Industry”. Rogers will give an overview of cloud services available today and in the near-future and what opportunities are present for hosting providers to stay competitive.

On July 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., attorney David Snead will moderate the third keynote address, “Sealing the Deal”, where hosting’s most prolific deal makers against each other in an effort to finally determine how much your company is worth, and who might buy it.

Last year’s HostingCon 2007 event featured 40 conference sessions spanning various hosting topics, as well as three keynotes. The opening keynote presentation delivered by Richard Rosenblatt, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Demand Media where he discussed the current Internet trends and how they impact the hosting and domain registration markets.
