Parallels Announces Speaker Lineup for Summit 2011

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cloud services provider Parallels (www.parallels.com) announced on Thursday it has unveiled its speaker line-up for its cloud conference, Parallels Summit 2011 (www.parallels.com/summit/global).

This year’s event is expected to be the largest to date with more than 1,500 attendees anticipated, including Web hosts, service providers, value-added resellers, software vendors and Web designers from around the world.

The event follows last year’s successful Parallels Summit 2010, which reportedly drew an attendance of over 1,000 individuals to the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Resort.

The Summit will take be held February 22 to 24 at the Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

The Parallels Summit 2011 will address the changing cloud services landscape. Attendees will receive in-depth knowledge based on two proprietary research projects conducted by Parallels and by McKinsey & Co.

The first research project will highlight the SMB buying priorities for the coming year, while the second one emphasizes the economics of cloud computing, including drivers of profitability for key players in the cloud ecosystem.

The event will feature eight keynote presentations by industry leaders and innovators, as well as more than 30 in-depth product, strategy and networking sessions where “business and technical professionals can learn how to build and launch powerful integrated cloud services for small and medium size businesse, and how to do that rapidly and profitably,” say Parallels.

Keynote speakers will include Go Daddy president and COO Warren Adelman, Ingram Micro CTO Mario Leone, McKinsey & Company partner Darren Pleasance, Microsoft GM of Web patform and tools Bill Staples, SoftLayer CEO Lance Crosby, and Symantec CTO Mark Bregman.

The Parallels Summit attendees can enter to win a three-day lease of a Lamborghini car and other draw prizes. The Summit offers free registration and discounted Parallels training and certification.
