(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Pakistani managed hosting provider HostGee (www.hostgee.com) has attained Gold Certified Status in the Microsoft Partner Program with competencies in hosting solutions and networking infrastructure solutions.
According to its Thursday announcement, HostGee, which has operations centers in Saudi Arabia, the US and Pakistan, has demonstrated its expertise with Microsoft-based technologies, as well as its ability to deliver enterprise-class hosting solutions that balance performance, reliability, scalability, security and cost in order to become a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.
”Being one of the first Gold Certified Managed Hosting Providers in Pakistan to achieve the Microsoft hosting solutions competency is a proud moment for HostGee,” HostGee chief executive officer and founder Shafiq Ur Rehman said in a statement. “It reflects the leadership role we have in this industry.”
Founded in 2009, HostGee provides domain name registration, Web hosting, e-commerce, colocation, managed dedicated hosting, SaaS hosting, Web design and online marketing services to more than a hundred thousand websites and 80,000 customers worldwide. It operates more than 250,000 square feet of state-of-the-art data center space.
Gold partner status shows the depth and flexibility of HostGee’s engineering and technical support departments, as well as displaying the company’s capacity to deliver the highest quality managed hosting services through a partnership approach that encompasses the entire IT service cycle – planning, implementation, maintenance, measurement and review.
“Microsoft’s Gold Certified Partners demonstrate a high degree of competence in working with Microsoft-based technologies,” Microsoft partner group director Lora Gernon said in a statement. “This achievement further demonstrates HostGee”s commitment to deliver high quality, fully integrated software solutions to their customers. Today, Microsoft is pleased to recognize HostGee as a Gold Certified Partner.”
As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, HostGee will receive a rich set of benefits such as access to training and support to give them a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Last month, Microsoft announced the winners and finalists of its 2010 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards for Microsoft Registered, Certified and Gold Certified partners demonstrating exemplary delivery of solutions to their customers during the past year.
In the “Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year” category, UK independent communications and hosted IT provider Outsourcery (www.outsourcery.co.uk) took top spot over finalists Fasthosts Internet, and Fpweb.net.
