September 12, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Desktop management application service provider OuterBounds Technologies Inc. (OuterBounds.com) said on Wednesday that it has signed a three-year agreement to provide application hosting and IT management services to Insurance industry conglomerate Shared Agency Services.

The services, says OuterBounds, will be delivered via Citrix MetaFrame XP application service software and Citrix NFuse Elite access portal, both from Citrix Systems Inc.

OuterBounds says the agreement will help insurance agencies reduce total cost of ownership while providing a guaranteed fee-for-service solution, letting them focus on customer service and selling insurance.

SAS accounts for more than 82 locations and 1,000 users throughout Georgia, says OuterBounds, writing more than 450 million premium dollars in the state.

OuterBounds will combine server and infrastructure hardware, storage, security, virus protection and total application outsourcing of agency management and critical software for individual agencies. Throughhe agreement, SAS agencies will no longer need to acquire server and networking infrastructure or dedicated IT management staff.
