July 2, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Application performance management software provider Mercury Interactive Corp. (MercuryInteractive.com) and enterprise software company Oracle Corp. (Oracle.com) announced on Monday that they have released a Test Starter Kit, based on Mercury Interactive technology, which includes reusable test plans and scripts developed by Oracle for the testing of Oracle E-Business Suite.

Oracle says the Test Starter Kit will help customers using Mercury Interactive?s testing software to improve their deployments and upgrades, as well as lower the cost of ownership for the E-Business suite. Oracle will distribute the kit to every E-Business Suite customer, starting with release 11.5.7 Rapid Install.

Mercury Interactive also announced the release of an Oracle 11i Upgrade Package, which includes performance testing, functional and regression testing and test management software, as well as consulting services. Used along with the Test Starter Kit, says the company, the 11i Upgrade Package will reduce the time it takes to implement or upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite.
