September 10, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Database automation software and solutions provider GridApp Systems (gridapp.com) announced on Monday it has signed an agreement through which Opsware (opsware.com) has the option to resell GridApp’s Clarity database automation software with the Opsware System through its worldwide field sales and channel teams based on select customer needs.
The combined offering of Opsware’s data center automation platform and GridApp Clarity provides customers with the industry’s most comprehensive solution for a fully automated data center. Opsware provides data center automation suite that works across servers, networks, storage and IT processes. The cross-platform solution automates the management of database infrastructures, including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
The automation of database management functions enables any administrator to now manage tasks that otherwise would require dedicated experts – something that is critical for customers that are under pressure to enforce standards and ensure compliance across the data center. GridApp Clarity complements Opsware’s full range of automation products, enabling customers to use automation more broadly across their IT environments.
