Opsware Recognized by DIA

August 17, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center automation software provider Opsware (opsware.com) announced on Tuesday that its Opsware System suite has been named as a key technology in the Defense Intelligence Agency’s (dia.mil) “Way Ahead” project, which was recognized by CIO Magazine this month as a CIO-100 winner.

Opsware says it plays a key role in automating the management of DIA’s global data centers and its technology supports the reduction of operational costs, improved service quality and enhanced IT compliance.

“We applaud CIO Magazine’s selection of DIA’s ‘Way Ahead’ project as a CIO-100 winner,” says Tim Howes, CTO and EVP of research and development at Opsware. “DIA’s transformation is a huge undertaking. The project demonstrates Opsware’s ability to meet the most stringent requirements for distributed scalability, security and availability for critical environments. Opsware is proud to support DIA in this leading-edge project.”

On Monday, automated configuration provider mValent signed an agreement through which Opsware will resell mValent Integrity with the Opsware System suite through its worldwide field sales and channel teams.
