March 29, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center automation software Opsware (opsware.com) announced on Wednesday it has appointed Colin Rowland as senior VP for its Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
He will report directly to Mark Cranney, executive VP for field operations at Opsware, and will oversee Opsware?s sales and business development for the region and help position the company to meet the increasing demand in Europe for its data center automation software.

His broad experience demonstrates excellent leadership all the way from the startup level to Fortune 50 giants,” says Cranney. “Colin has a history of building first-class sales organizations that deliver strong results. Rowland joins Opsware from Tideway Systems, where he served in the position of VP of sales. He has also held senior management positions at HP, Rainfinity and Mercury Interactive.
