OpSource, SIIA Host All About the Cloud Conference

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Software as a solution provider OpSource (www.opsource.net) and the Software & Information Industry Association (www.siia.net) are hosting this week the All About the Cloud conference, which will examine how cloud solutions can help businesses redefine operating strategies and jumpstart economic recovery.

Held May 10 to 12 in San Francisco, All About the Cloud is the world’s largest forum for the advancement of the on-demand industry, says the company.

To create the event, OpSource and SIIA combined their two annual conferences, the SaaS Summit and SIIA OnDemand.

“In just the past year, cloud usage by individuals and organizations has grown dramatically, creating a thriving ecosystem of not just consumers but cloud infrastructure, software as a service and platform as a service providers,” says Richard Dym, CMO of OpSource. “All About the Cloud will emphasize the on-demand market’s crucial role in economic recovery. All About the Cloud will bring together more than 750 executives, analysts, press and venture capitalists to explore the industry’s role in global business.

Representatives from more than 50 industry leaders and start-ups will attend the event, including Amazon, Appirio, AT&T, Boomi, CastIron, Google, HP, IBM, Intuit, JobVite, McAfee, Microsoft, NTT, Oracle, RightNow, SAP, Verizon, VMware and Xactly.

The event will cover all aspects of SaaS and cloud computing, highlighting trends and strategic opportunities for SaaS ISVs, developers, C-level executives and government agencies alike.

All About the Cloud will also feature a SaaS/Cloud showcase, with 25 exhibitors highlighting new solutions from this growing industry.

Tuesday’s keynote presentation, “Principles for Creating and Driving Value in the Cloud,” will be delivered from Tayloe Stansbury, SVP and chief technology officer of Intuit.

Wednesday will offer two keynote presentations. In “Companies Need More Than Servers: How and Why the Ecosystem is Critical to Cloud Success,” OpSource CEO Treb Ryan will discuss how the next generation of SIs, VARs and telecoms will use the cloud to address real world problems in the future.

In the second keynote, “Cloud Revolution: Beyond Computing,” LiveOps chairman and CEO Maynard Webb will explore the cloud computing from the outside in and outline why it is imperative for enterprises to embrace cloud computing.
