OpSource CEO to Speak at China Event

August 27, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Software as a service provider OpSource (opsource.net) announced on Friday that its CEO will be presenting the keynote at the inaugural China SaaS Summit, sponsored by CCW Research (ccwresearch.com.cn/en/). China SaaS Summit will take place at the Presidential Plaza Hotel in Beijing, China.

Treb Ryan will discuss the idea that successful SaaS companies think of themselves as Web companies and not software companies and the fact that this is a significant paradigm shift for most software companies, because the traditional thinking is that on-demand applications are a replacement for traditional business software. While SaaS is payable per transaction many software companies incorrectly believe that the software is developed, sold and delivered in the same manner as traditional licensed software, says OpSource.

Ryan’s keynote starts at 11:20 a.m. on August 28 and joins industry experts like Chen Wei , Director at MII, Cao KaiBin, VP at CCW Research and Shen Xin, VP at China Telecom.

Keane’s Business Risk Management Solutions division recently selected OpSource to deliver Keane SCORE, a Web-based decision-support tool that automates the key components of enterprise risk and compliance management including measurement, management and monitoring.
