(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Wholesale domain reseller OpenSRS (www.opensrs.com) recently announced that it has launched a new video production service for its resellers through Tucows (www.tucows.com) video production division Butterscotch (www.butterscotch.com).

According to a blog post, this new service will allow resellers to create cost-effective and professional quality videos.

OpenSRS says it launched its video production service after several resellers had approached the company for video content like how-to training videos for hosting control panels and promotional videos.

Resellers receive exclusive discount pricing, according to OpenSRS website. Five one-minute videos start at $3000 (regularly $3250), while 10 one-minute videos start at $6000 (regularly $6490).

These packages include professional voiceovers, initial video with two revisions, title and on-screen visual elements and for a limited time free script development and drafting with two revisions. This feature usually costs $600, OpenSRS says.

Resellers can choose to add custom backdrops, background music and more at an additional cost.

Butterscotch has produced videos for eBay, VeriSign and Hover, according to the OpenSRS.

In a separate post on Thursday, OpenSRS announced the release of a five-part video series called “Creating Compelling Web Video.” Available to all OpenSRS resellers for free, OpenSRS says the videos provide instruction on how to make video more original. It says the video series can be used however and wherever resellers see fit, and can even be branded with a company logo. The videos are available on YouTube or on its .TV Marketing Resources page.

Recently, Tucows acquired German domain registrar EPAG Domainservices.
