Opalis Signs Reseller Deal With BMC
April 4, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center infrastructure software Opalis Software (opalis.com) announced a reseller agreement with management software provider BMC Software (bmc.com). Under the agreement terms, BMC will resell both the Opalis Integration Pack for BMC PATROL and Opalis Integration Pack for BMC Remedy Help Desk.
BMC will also provide consulting, training, and support services for the packs. Opalis’ technology recently completed BMC validation testing and is currently the only data center automation product certified for both BMC PATROL and BMC Remedy Help Desk. The solutions enable customers to integrate and automate incident and problem lifecycle management routines to lower costs, increase performance, and extend availability.
“This new partnership with BMC expands upon our technology alliance, announced last month, and brings the certified Opalis Integration BMC packs to BMC customers worldwide so that they can automate BSM processes, significantly saving time and enabling IT staff to focus on projects that add value to the business,” says Scott Broder, CEO of Opalis Software.
The combination of Opalis and BMC enables organizations to document and automate processes without changing existing processes or acquiring new tools. IT staff can automate incident and problem lifecycle management across geographically or organizationally diverse operations, reducing the resolution times, which translates to lower costs, increased performance and greater availability.
