Opalis Names President and CEO
October 17, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Infrastructure software provider Opalis Software (opalis.com) announced on Monday it has appointed Todd DeLaughter the company’s president and CEO.
Working with the Opalis executive team, customers and key partners, DeLaughter will define Opalis’ future product technology vision and roadmap, further build on the Opalis brand and work to enhance the sales channel and go-to-market strategies.
“I was attracted to Opalis because they solve one of the larger problems a CIO faces today, how to gain control of escalating operational costs. Automation of IT processes is key to the answer,” says DeLaughter. “I’ve been extremely impressed with Opalis’ worldwide success to date in providing a unique and robust automation solution. This success reflects the opportunity Opalis creates for IT Operations. I’m thrilled to be part of this exceptional team and look forward to taking Opalis to the next level.”
Most recently, DeLaughter was vice president and general manager of the OpenView business unit at HP where he delivered growth at two times the market rate during his tenure and doubled the size of the business. Prior to that, he led the worldwide HP OpenView marketing and operations functions.
