onShore Networks Opens Data Center in Chicago

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — IT solutions provider onShore Networks (www.onshore.com) announced on Wednesday it has opened its new data center in downtown Chicago, located at 216 W. Jackson Boulevard.

The new data center adds 3,000 square feet of colocation space to onShore Networks’ footprint.

The facility includes raised flooring, provides 24-hour climate control through data center grade air handling units and provides electrical power redundancy through a combination of Uninterruptible Power Supplies and diesel back up power generator.

onShore Networks is offering customers a range of colocation space options including 1-4 rack units, 1/3 rack, 1/2 rack, full rack or multiple racks. There are multiple options for electrical power and bandwidth within each rack.

The company has chosen three major and diverse Internet carriers for its upstream connectivity.

In addition, onShore Networks will continue to offer competitively priced Internet connectivity services, with even better overall service, to its commercial ISP customers.

As a full-service ISP, the company offers connectivity via T1s, T3s, OC3s, OC12s, Ethernet, and Wireless.

onShore Networks recently upgraded its core network with load balancing services.

Additionally, the company has a full-service onGuard managed security services team, which allows them to provide a high level of security expertise to properly manage potential security threats to its customers’ networks.

The company provides a range of services, including designing and implementing local-area and wide-area networks, delivering and managing systems running Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, or Linux Operating Systems, network security monitoring and management including managed security services, onSite technical support and Internet connectivity services.
