OnRamp Access will construct a 42,000-square-foot data center in Austin
Data center operator OnRamp Access announced on Thursday it will construct a 42,000-square-foot data center in Austin, which marks the company’s second in the area.
The data center will be OnRamp Access’ third data center in total, following last week’s opening of its new facility at Research Triangle Park in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The move comes a few months after OnRamp Access launched a new hybrid hosting offering that combines all three of those services to provide a hosting environment that can be tailored to the specific needs of each customer.
The data center will help meet the growing demands for OnRamp’s services, which include high density colocation, cloud hosting, HIPAA-compliant hosting and disaster recovery services.
Square One Consultants will manage the design, development and building of the facility, which is set to deliver in the early fourth quarter of this year.
The Austin II Data Center will feature high levels of security, redundancy, reliability and infrastructure.
The facility will also house several on-site OnRamp engineer teams to provide support to customers.
