Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.
March 3, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Omega Communications (omegacomminc.com), a Connecticut-based Internet service provider, said on Thursday that it successfully acquired two Web hosting companies in 2004 and plans to continue buying small to mid-size Web hosts in 2005.
The two acquisitions brought 2,000 customers, which were migrated to Omega's infrastructure in a minimal time frame, the company said.
"The two acquisitions in 2004 were a success mainly because of the due diligence that took place and the overall staff at Omega," says Greg Angelillo, vice president of business development for Omega Communications. "The technical and finance staff were pivotal to the success and without the extra efforts from each employee, the migration onto our data center servers and our billing software could have been a nightmare for us as well as our new customers."
