(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) –- Offsite backup solution provider Carroll-Net (www.carroll.net) announced on Wednesday it has introduced a new pricing model that charges only for storage space used, with no additional fees for deleted files.
Carroll-Net’s newly revised pricing structure ensures that customers are no longer charged for deleting files, which allows them to upload new files as often as necessary.
The company points out in its press release that many backup companies say they only charge for “revisions,” but this often means they are charging for deleted files.
Off-site backup protects essential assets such as customer lists, receivables and contacts.
“This can mean big dollars,” says Carroll. “In some cases, when you include paying for deleted files, these backup companies are charging three times more than Carroll-Net. Most customers don’t need permanent storage – but it’s nice to know it’s an option.”
Carroll-Net stores deleted files on its servers for more than a year, however, it also offers options for customers who want to keep their storage for a longer time period.
Starting at $99 a month, Carroll-Net’s backup plans include a free backup server with Lo Jack Theft Recovery, free snapshots, daily virus checkup, and automatic server health monitoring.
Individuals can currently register for a 30-day free trial at Carroll-Net’s website.
Carroll-Net’s primary data center is located in Hackensack, New Jersey. The company also has two backup data centers nearby that are part of its disaster recovery plan.
