August 6, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Application technology provider Zeus Technology (zeus.com) announced on Tuesday that NTractive (ntractive.com) has selected Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager as part of its infrastructure to manage its hybrid web application, Elements SBM.
The announcement follows last week’s launch of the Zeus Service Provider License Agreement program, which enables service providers to use Zeus’ ZXTM software on a monthly basis while giving them the flexibility to deploy however number of ZXTMs the company needs.
Elements SBM is a feature-rich online business management application that offers subscribers a combination of Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Resource Planning and Personal Information Management. Available as software as a service, Elements SBM targets the small-to-medium enterprise market.
“Ntractive represents a new breed of high-tech company that sees beyond the usual link of hardware and software as form and function when it comes to planning their business,” says Paul Brennan, CEO and chairman of Zeus Technology. “This demand for hardware-independent application delivery will become increasingly important as the outsourcing model continues to evolve into concepts such as SaaS and cloud computing.”
Ntractive’s new development environment/platform, the Hybrid Web Application, combines the best features of a desktop application with those of a web application for increased usability, functionality, and power in an Internet-based application.
The company’s first product, Elements SBM, is a SaaS offering that is designed to automate, organize and improve business processes for SMB. Zeus Technology’ ZXTM solution reduces costs for data center space and power as well as the cost of bandwidth, while offering high scalability. The company holds strategic partnerships with many companies, including AMD, Dell, Egenera, HP, IBM, Intel, Sun Microsystems, Qualcomm and VMware.
