April 25, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cable & Wireless (cw.com) today announced that it has been selected by UK Cable operator NTL (ntl.com) to carry its international IP data traffic.

According to NTL, it sought an IP transit provider that could deliver high levels of quality, reliability and availability in order to satisfy its own growing broadband Internet customer base. It selected Cable & Wireless because the resilience and low latency of its network translates into fast and reliable Internet access for customers.
