Node4 to Open New Data Center in UK

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK managed hosting and colocation provider Node4 (www.node4.co.uk) announced on Monday it will soon open its new data center DC3 in Wakefield, UK.

On July 23, the company will host an exclusive launch party for invited guests and members of the press.

The 450 rack data center was built to meet the company’s increased demand in data center space.

Node4 says it has seen 100 percent data center growth in the past year.

The purpose built facility will feature energy efficient air conditioning and multiple resilient 10Gb network links.

“The only way to meet the increased demand in data center space that we had seen was to build a brand new data center, and so after careful planning we have now completed a development, ideally located within easy reach of the M62, M1 and A1,” says Andrew Gilbert, managing director of Node4.

As with all its data centers, DC3 will offer UPS, generators and climate control all being at least N+1 and in some case N+N.

There are also multiple 10GB links between the new site and Node4 headquarters in Derby, which will give existing and new customers the option to have a full DR solution spread across two sites.

The company offers a range of services including colocation, managed hosting, connectivity spanning broadband, leased lines and Ethernet, IP-BVN, SIP trunking, and Cisco IP telephony.
