January 23, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Gambit Communications (gambitcomm.com), a network management

simulation tools provider, announced yesterday that it has entered into a

partnership with NOC Builder (nocbuilder.com), a provider of network

consulting and software solutions for network operations centers. NOC

Builder has integrated Gambit's MIMIC Simulator into their network services

and software offerings in order to improve the performance, efficiency and

services of NOCs.

NOC Builder provides integration and automation services, combining existing

or new network management solutions with trouble tracking and report

generation processes. MIMIC's network discovery and recording abilities can

record and simulate the existing network environments. Then these

simulations can be modified in order to represent the proposed solutions.

"MIMIC is essential in our continuing quest for quality," said Rick Shearin,

NOC Builder president and CEO. "We are very excited about what MIMIC has

done for our network management development efforts and what it will do for

our customers. With MIMIC we can train our professional services team and

verify configurations before our network management solution reaches the

customer."

MIMIC has the ability to simulate up to 10,000 devices from one workstation.

MIMIC simulations can be distributed over multiple platforms for enterprise

simulation testing of even larger environments.
