New York Internet to Open NJ Data Center

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider The New York Internet Company (www.nyi.net) announced on Tuesday it will be expanding its footprint by adding a data center in Bridgewater, New Jersey later in the year.

Located at 999 Frontier Road, the facility will operate seamlessly with NYI’s main data center in Lower Manhattan.

New York Internet will offer its suite of services, including colocation, dedicated servers, web and email hosting, and managed services, out of the New Jersey facility.

The new data center spans more than 40,000 square feet. With a highly scalable and redundant fiber, power and cooling infrastructure, the facility will allow for the installation of extremely dense configurations as well as provide the redundancy required for the most mission-critical applications.

“999 Frontier will enable us to deliver new and unprecedented levels of service,” says Phillip Koblence, vice president of The New York Internet Company, who recently spoke to WHIR TV. “Between the facility itself and the list of partners we are assembling, customers who have come to love the NYI experience will be thrilled with the results.”

The facility will serve as a “mission-critical facility for true business continuity planning and disaster recovery,” says Koblence.

Located in the heart of Wall Street, NYI specializes in data services for the financial services industry, as well as for a range of industries, including media, law, fashion, architecture, and real estate.

New York Internet recently tied pair Networks and INETU in Netcraft’s most reliable hosting company sites for May.
