August 19, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web Hosting provider AIT (AIT.com) has launched a new, Enterprise server platform that combines high performance hardware and premium, around-the-clock support suited for both managed and self-managed customers.According to the AIT announcement Tuesday, the feature-packed new enterprise-class servers offer massive scalability without loss in service quality. Standard features of the Enterprise server platform include a production level 1U server, 250GB of storage, dual processors, 2 GB of memory, free domain registration, and more than 100 free tools. ”We’ve had great success with our beta customers,” said Avery Skelton, VP of Sales and Marketing for AIT, “and every one of them has noticed an improvement in the server’s speed and overall responsiveness. This is about offering a higher level server at a very reasonable price so that our customer’s time is spent on the growth of their business and not the worries of their hosting platform.”

Fayetteville, North Carolina-based AIT serves over 210,000 customers from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, including well-known clients Time Warner, Microsoft, Newsweek, the US Federal Government and PC World.

In May 2007, AIT broke into the search market, releasing its own search engine, tyBit (tybit.com).
