(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Online small business solutions provider Network Solutions (www.networksolutions.com) has hired chief financial officer and executive vice president Miles Reidy, who will be responsible for driving the company’s next phase of growth.
According to Network Solutions’ announcement this week, Reidy is joining Network Solutions from Sears Holdings Corporation where he was EVP and CFO.
“Miles’ proven expertise in developing and directing analytical and data intensive functions will offer us fresh insights into our customers’ needs and the products and services we develop to meet those needs,” Network Solutions chief executive officer Roy Dunbar said in a statement. “I look forward to working with Miles and our executive team on further developing the blueprint for our next phase of growth.”
Reidy said Network Solutions shows tremendous opportunity engaging small business owners and making it easy for them to take their companies online and market them. “What attracted me to Network Solutions is the strong executive team led by Roy, along with an experienced and involved board of directors,” Reidy said in a statement.
As CFO for Sears Holding Company, Mr. Reidy led the development of strategy and financial management for the multi-billion dollar retailer. Prior to Sears, he spent more than eight years at Capital One Financial Corporation, leading activities in banking integration, corporate planning and financial strategy. In addition he served as the CFO for Capital One Credit Card and Bank.
In February, Network Solutions launched a new business email service designed specifically for small businesses, packaging the features and benefits of an enterprise-quality email solution at a price small businesses can afford. In the same month, it also announced plans to launch an expanded Open Source Library, making these applications easier for web hosting customers to access.
