(networkassociates.com) unveiled a McAfee (mcafee.com) content management and e-mail security solution yesterday for Microsoft (microsoft.com) Exchange 2000 and 2003. The solution deploys McAfee GroupShield for advanced content management and an optional McAfee SpamKiller anti-spam add-on to protect Microsoft Exchange from e-mail threats and other viruses.

The solution is currently in beta testing.

McAfee GroupShield offers content management capabilities that allow IT administrators to set up rules to filter e-mail before it enters a corporate network.

The company said customers will benefit from an added layer of defense that incorporates virus detection, cleaning and content filtering and blocking.
