NetSuite Launches Green Discount Program

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Business management software provider NetSuite (www.netsuite.com) announced on Wednesday it is offering a new promotion that provides a 50 percent discount for one year to customers who can prove they are a member of a “green” organization.

Customers who buy NetSuite subscriptions through the offer, which is valid through December 31, would also see no greater than a 10 percent price increase for renewals after the first year.

The company decided to launch the campaign based on feedback from customers and the overall focus on green technology at both the state and federal government level, says Dave Lipscomb, NetSuite founder and senior vice president of verticals.

The company’s Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management and Ecommerce software helps streamline key business processes.

A recent independent sustainability impact study of the company’s software as a service platform showed that NetSuite customers experienced significant cost savings, improved efficiency and environmental benefits, with some customers saving as much as $61 million in electricity savings per year.

The company says it also practices many green initiatives in its own operations, using between 1,000 and 1,500 energy-efficient Hewlett-Packard servers.

Additionally, the company replaces its hardware every two years.

Edward Zander, the former Motorola chairman of the board and CEO, recently joined the company’s board of directors.
