(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Indian managed hosting provider Netmagic Solutions (www.netmagicsolutions.com) announced on Tuesday it has become the first company in India to offer cloud computing services for enterprises.
As part of the cloud computing services vision, Netmagic is offering three services, including CloudNet, CloudServe and PrivateCloud.
The company’s CloudNet service enables customers to create a complete IT infrastructure including servers, firewalls, load balancers and switches by installing ready to deploy cloud appliances.
This service is designed for mid size Internet companies for hosting portals, disaster recovery and testing needs as well as for traditional enterprises.
The CloudServe service provides disposable server resources to customers, in which servers can be configured and reconfigured on an on-demand basis depending on the individual business needs of the company.
This service is particularly ideal for the hosting of business applications for SMBs, says Netmagic.
The PrivateCloud service is best suited for large individual enterprise needs, providing customers with a dedicated hosted cloud infrastructure that includes hardware and managed virtualization platform.
Netmagic also provides a console so customers can create various appliances, as well as upgrade or downgrade resources on the cloud according to their needs.
The new services allow customers to maintain availability of applications without having to invest double the amount of capital expenditure in hardware and software.
It will also provide companies with the benefit of scaling and reducing compute resources as per business demands without having to worry about hardware management issues.
Sangh says that these services will help companies to save capital by subscribing to IT infrastructure as a service.
Additionally, customers will be able to optimize their resource usage and save on power and space costs for IT infrastructure, which will lead to at least 20 to 25 percent reduction in operating costs.
Netmagic says it will only bill customers on resources used on a per hour basis model.
“With our cloud computing services, we will be able to provide our customers an additional value offering that will optimize needs and maximize the operation of their IT infrastructure,” says Sharad Sanghi, CEO and managing director of Netmagic Solutions. “We are very excited about our new initiative along with having the first mover advantage. Today’s announcement also signifies a big step in our commitment to businesses in India and our expansion plans.”
This latest offering is in line with Netmagic’s ongoing expansion plans, following recent advances in the areas of remote infrastructure management and SAP application management.
Netmagic Solutions provides a range of managed IT services in India, including data center services, managed hosting, remote infrastructure and management, mail and messaging services and application hosting services.
