August 19, 2003 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Netfirms (netfirms.com) announced today that new and existing customers of their Advantage or Business Web hosting plans will receive a free domain name.

The company said in a release that the offer was "initiated to underline Netfirms? ongoing commitment to providing the best value in Web hosting for the lowest prices."

There will be no time limit to the service and it will apply to registered domain names with Netfirms including .com, .net, .org, .info and .biz. The value of the service is $25 US per year.

"We have seen incredible growth in sales over the past year and based on these volumes we now have the buying power to offer this great deal to our customers," explained Jeff Axelrod, sales manager at Netfirms. "We are confident the initiative will attract new customers to our services who are looking for the best value in the industry, as well as lure individuals from those more expensive service providers."
