A chart shows the top ten most reliable web hosting sites for February
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Web analytics firm Netcraft (www.netcraft.com) announced on Tuesday that the most reliable hosting website for February is DataPipe (www.datapipe.com) for the second consecutive month.
According to the report, DataPipe has been in the top ten for 11 of the past 12 months. The company offers colocation, cloud computing and hosted servers out of its six data centers in the US, the UK and China.
In January, IWeb Technologies and Codero came in second and third place. In February’s survey, managed hosting provider Swishmail came in second place, while Web hosting services provider New York Internet came in third place.
The rest of the list includes www.westhost.com, ServInt, www.serverbeach.com, iWeb Technologies, www.singlehop.com, www.navisite.com and www.poundhost.com.
The top three Web hosts on the list run on FreeBSD, while six hosts in the list run on Linux and one on Windows Server 2003.
Netcraft measures and posts the response times of about 40 leading hosting providers’ websites each month.
The measurements are made at fifteen minute intervals from separate points around the Internet, and averages are calculated over a 24 hour period immediately following.
