(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web analytics firm Netcraft (www.netcraft.com) announced on Wednesday that Swishmail (www.swishmail.com) is the most reliable web hosting site in December.

The report measures the reliability of the host’s website and though it may reflect the dependability of its hosted sites as well, it does not measure those figures.

Specializing in business level email and web hosting solutions, Swishmail responded to all but three of Netcraft’s requests.

Swishmail has been in the top ten since October, ranking ninth in November.

Managed hosting provider ServInt (www.servint.com) ranked second in December, responding to all but four of Netcraft’s requests.

A recent report by Netcraft finds ServInt has been hosting WikiLeaks.org since December 18. Netcraft says “this good performance could perhaps have been a factor in the decision to host WikiLeaks.org.”

In November, ServInt entered the top ten in tenth place.

In third place was cloud and managed hosting provider Logicworks (www.logicworks.net) which also failed to respond to four requests.

Logicworks was in the top ten in October in seventh place.

The rest of the top ten are Hosting 4 Less, Multacom, iWeb Technologies, SingleHop, Dina Hosting, Rackspace and Iomart.

Seven of December’s top ten hosting company sites run Linux, two run FreeBSD and one runs F5 BIG-IP.
