(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Email hosting provider Net Atlantic (www.netatlantic.com) announced on Monday it has upgraded its Salem, Massachusetts data center with new environmentally-friendly features.
Located just 30 miles north of Boston, the more than 40,000 square foot data center was designed with energy consumption and efficiency in mind.
With the latest upgrades, the company now receives energy efficiency recognition from Massachusetts-based electric and gas utility, NStar.
The new eco-friendly features include a white roof to deflect heat, raised floors to optimize cooling power, and a building-wide applied vapor barrier to help control humidity.
The data center upgrade gives Net Atlantic customers the “highest security and equipment available while using green energy when promoting their products and services,” says the company.
“Because our products are entirely Internet-based, we depend on secure, reliable data centers to help provide exceptional service to our customers,” says Wes Owen, vice president of Net Atlantic. “And when those facilities are also green, we all benefit.”
Founded in 1995, Net Atlantic provides email hosting, email marketing services, web hosting, dedicated servers and domain registration.
