October 8, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Network storage infrastructure software provider FalconStor Inc. (FalconStor.com) announced on Monday that its IPStor software had been chosen by National Computer Systems Pte Ltd (NCS), the largest IT service provider in Singapore.

NCS picked IPStor to provide high data availability, quick disaster recovery and efficient, reliable storage to its data center and outsourcing customers.

FalconStor says NCS?s 2,500 square meter data center is one of the largest mainframe sites in Singapore with 440 MIPS of processing power, 2 terabytes of online storage and 16.5 terabytes of offline storage. NCS, says FalconStor, recognized the need to optimize the management of its storage environment to increase the efficiency of its range of services, including consulting, applications maintenance, managed hosting, business recovery, storage services, desktop management, call center and managed messaging services.
