NaviSite Introduces Email, IM Archiving

July 19, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed application and Web hosting provider NaviSite (navisite.com) introduced a new email and instant message archiving and retrieval service on Monday. The company said the service lowers costs and improves service levels for customers while providing compliance with NASD rule 3010 and SEC regulation 17A-4. “Email archiving is one of the top services our messaging customers have requested in recent months,” says Cheryl Yetz, vice president, messaging and collaboration for NaviSite. “Because companies may be liable for the content of email within their organization, having an accurate record is critical for legal protection – as well as regulatory compliance for a growing number of companies. We’re pleased to offer a service that solves this problem for customers who do not wish to make expensive investments in software and storage technology to create a solution like this themselves.”
