NaviSite Deploys Services on Ensim Unify

October 28, 2003 — Hosting automation software developer Ensim Corporation (ensim.com) said today that NaviSite Inc. (navisite.com) was the first service provider to launch services based on the Ensim Unify automation platform. Ensim Unify was developed in collaboration with Microsoft (microsoft.com). According to the Sunnyvale-based company, Ensim Unify is the first multi-service operation support system for hosted services such as Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and ASP.NET. The solution includes processes for resource management, provisioning, monitoring, metering, self-management; and a single point of integration for existing business systems, new services and emerging technologies. “We’re excited to partner with a leader like NaviSite on their Exchange Server 2003 services,” said Steve Dauber, vice president of Ensim Corporation. “The combination of Ensim software and NaviSite’s premium hosting services will enable small and mid-sized businesses to benefit from leading edge technologies far faster than has been historically possible.” According to the company, NaviSite was able to deploy hosted Microsoft Exchange Server 2003-based services to its customers within thirty days of selecting Ensim Unify. The company said NaviSite’s successful deployment will create opportunities for it to maximize on revenues per customer. “Being one of the first companies to offer managed Exchange 2003 is proof positive that we are committed to offering our customers innovative services based on leading-edge technologies,” said Will Scott, vice president of products and services at NaviSite, Inc. “After evaluating other software solutions, it was clear that Ensim Unify was the right product that would let us come to market quickly with the robust provisioning and management features that our customers require.”
