MSPAlliance Launches Research Survey

“There is surprisingly little data about the usage of service enabling technologies and solutions available to today’s services providers,” said Charlie Weaver, president of the MSPAlliance. “By undertaking this study we intend to bring a great deal of clarity to companies who want to know what tools are available to them in the deliverance of their managed solutions.”

The study will focus on help desk management, carrier services management, network/systems management, database management, desktop management, security management, storage management, wireless network management, VoIP management, messaging management and application management.

“With the demand for managed services rising and the range of these services expanding, service providers must carefully evaluate which enabling technologies can help them satisfy their customers’ needs and give them a competitive advantage,” said Jeff Kaplan, managing director of THINKstrategies. “This study will give service providers useful benchmark data regarding the buying intentions of their peers, and technology vendors important information regarding new business opportunities for their products.”

The MSPAlliance, with over 150 members, appointed a number of new board members in February.
