“The trend in IT is to transform IT operations into a measurable service provided to internal and external customers,” says Carolyn Ruech, Executive Director of the MSP Association. “The SMQI program promotes the adoption of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices as the framework for managing complex IT environments because it is a worldwide established standard. We are pleased that a number of services providers are adopting this best practice framework as the standard for quality service delivery.”

The itSMF says that through implementing these practices, organizations are likely to see an increased return on their IT investment along with increased customer satisfaction.
