(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Remote monitoring and management solution provider LabTech Software announced on Monday that it has launched LabTech Cloud, a cloud-based software as a service option for managed service providers.

This announcement comes a month after email hosting provider Reflexion Networks integrated LabTech’s monitoring and management solution with its suite of email services.

LabTech says this service is the first of many cloud computing-compatible technologies and services it plans to roll out. It expects cloud-based services to reduce its partners’ operational costs and increase profitability.

According to the press release, service providers who want to offer remote management services to clients encounter barriers to entry with the cost, time and effort to establish an infrastructure and data center capable of hosting all required software and data. LabTech Cloud allows service providers to offer remote management with little effort and investment by subscribing to the service and offering it to their customers.

“The future of computing isn’t a one-size-fits-all delivery model. By offering both SaaS and on-premis eoptions, we are able to best meet the needs of our partners and prospective partners,” Matt Nachtrab, CEO, LabTech Software said in a statement. “Our partners constantly enlighten us to evolving use cases around managed services, but what remains absolute is security, scalability, affordability and value, and LabTech Cloud delivers these while keeping costs manageable.”

LabTech Cloud is the full version of LabTech Software’s remote monitoring and management solution. Installation and setup is minimal, with license fees based on a pay-as-you-go model in addition to free LabTech upgrades as they become available.

Updates can be deployed rapidly to partners worldwide, including its recently announced Asian and European distribution markets.

LabTech’s tools include remote desktop, monitoring, trouble ticket tracking, support and software management.
