Mirror Image Upgrades Network

May 23, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Content delivery service provider Mirror Image Internet (mirror-image.com) announced on Monday that it is undergoing a major upgrade to its global content access point network.

The upgrade will focus on the company’s global architecture and include enhanced support for Windows Media and Macromedia Flash streaming services, as well as increased storage capacity for other content-based services, which the company hopes will increase its streaming capacity by more than 600 percent.

“We’ve seen a huge rise this year in market demand for content delivery networks to deliver streaming media reliably,” says John O’Keefe, senior analyst for Current Analysis. “Mirror Image’s network upgrade comes at the perfect time to position the company to expertly deliver whatever streaming media formats its clients choose, and benefit from this new end user surge.”

Mirror Image also announced plans to present at the streaming audio and video technology conference, Streaming Media East 2006, in New York City at the Hilton New York Hotel. The company is involved in a panel entitled, “Using Video for Viral Marketing to Teenagers,” taking place on May 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mirror Image will also exhibit in booth #125 for the 2-day event.
