September 11, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider midPhase Services, Inc. (midphase.com) announced it launched its reseller program this week.

The company said its reseller program will cater to up and coming Web hosting companies and webmasters that require additional resources which are not available with its “Mega-PHASE” hosting package.

“The reseller market demands a reliable provider that eliminates much of the start-up expense hosting companies run into when beginning their business,” said Zak Boca, director of marketing and co-founder of midPhase. “We simply feel that there is too much competition for hosting companies to spend several thousand dollars upfront when that money could be spent in advertising or creating a customer base.”

The midPhase servers will be housed in Equinix’s Chicago-based data center, Boca said. He also confirmed that the company has reached an agreement with NEWEDGE Services, Inc. to offer its customer management software at no additional charge. “With this, and combined with the free marketing and other included services, we feel that our customers will have quite the edge when entering the very competitive hosting market,” said Boca.

midPhase also said it plans to incorporate additional cost savings into the midPhase reseller program such as 50 cent domain name registration and discounted Web design services.
