Windows Small Business Server 2003, part of the Windows Server 2003 family, is geared toward the requirements of small businesses. It is designed to load onto one server as an “out of the box” solution, with networking, e-mail, secure Internet tools, file and printer sharing, as well as back-up capabilities.

The company said developments in the Windows Small Business Server 2003 platform allow Microsoft partners to build and deploy systems 90 percent faster.

Microsoft also added that the platform expands market opportunities by appealing to a larger segment of the market through its delivery of technological innovation and new levels of simplicity.

The announcement came at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference 2003, that gathers 5,500 resellers, dealers and consultants who sell its software.
